QPR have targeted Dwight Gayle for a loan according to a report from Get West London.
When Charlie Austin has been out with injury, QPR’s attack has been inconsistent with neither Jay Emmanuel-Thomas or Sebastien Polter being solid enough replacements for Austin.
And with Austin looking like he may be leaving this transfer window, QPR are looking for a potential replacement. And the man QPR have decided upon to replace the striker is Dwight Gayle, who they wan to bring in on a loan until the end of the season.
Gayle had been the subject of an £8million bid by Bristol City in the summer but Palace had decided to keep him around. However he has only made 8 appearances for the Eagles this season and could be set to leave Selhurst Park in January, with the short trip to QPR being a likely move.
The likelihood of the move is increased due to Chris Ramsey, who recently returned to QPR as the technical director, having a good relationship with Crystal Palace.
