Swansea City are interested in signing Crystal Palace midfielder Jonny Williams on a permanent deal in the summer, according to Brad Pinard from London24.

The 22-year-old is currently on loan at the MK Dons as he looks for more first-team football ahead of the European Championships in the summer, where he hopes to be part of Chris Coleman’s Wales squad.

According to the report from Pinard, Swansea sent scouts to watch him make his Dons debut at Bolton where he played 62 minutes before being substituted.

Williams, who qualifies to play for Wales through his father, has stated that he sees his long-term future at Selhurst Park, but with opportunities seemingly limited, it could be the right time for him to move on.The midfielder is under contract at Palace until the summer of 2018, so the Eagles are not in any need to sell him, although they could listen to offers if they don’t see him having a future role in the first team.
