Crystal Palace winger Wilfried Zaha is not giving up on the possibility of being included in the England squad for the upcoming European Championships.
Zaha has not been part of an England squad for over two years, but after an impressive run of form for Palace, he’s eager to put a halt to that string of exclusions.
When speaking to the Evening Standard, he said he still has hopes of playing for his country.
It is like a dream playing for England and hopefully I can get back in there. I have not given up.
The 22-year old also explained what he could bring to the national side if selected and he believes that he possesses qualities that others in the side may not.
There are good passers in the England team and there is pace but I can beat a man which will open up a space for someone else. That is what I can add, just more skill really, because I take on people more.

Zaha, who has been capped by England twice, also spoke about his development as a footballer and he said that by playing regularly, something which didn’t occur when he was at Manchester United, his decision making has dramatically improved and puts his increased level of consistency down to that.
I am just trying to put in decent performances every week for Palace. Everyone talks about ‘inconsistent Wilf’ so that is my main aim. If I manage to get into the England set-up then I will be buzzing. Now I know what I have to do. Before it was just get it and run around. Now I know when I need to run with it and when I need to cross it.
