In this week’s CPFC Podcast, Alfonso Greenbrook reviews the game against Newcastle United by giving you his Match Review, Player Rankings as well as his ‘Man Of The Match’.
A fantastic free-kick from Andros Townsend proved to be the difference as Newcastle United edged past the Alan Pardew’s Palace, who also saw a Yohan Cabaye penalty saved.
In a game of two halves, Palace were far the better side in the first 45 before the Newcastle rallied in the second half, and Townsend put them ahead on 58 minutes with a great, well-positioned set-piece.
However on his return to the North-East, Yohan Cabaye missed a penalty from 12 yards as the young united keeper Karl Darlow made a terrific save to hand his side a massive three points in their quest to stay in the Premier League.
