Crystal Palace striker Emmanuel Adebayor has confirmed that he will leave the club in the summer during an interview with the South London Press.
The 32-year-old signed for Palace on a short-term deal in January as Alan Pardew attempted to solve the club’s goalscoring issues.
Having played for Arsenal, Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur, it was thought that Adebayor’s experience of playing in England would help both himself and Palace, but in truth, the signing hasn’t really worked out.

The Togolese international has scored just one goal in 15 appearances in all competitions, doing little to help solve the lack of goals in the Palace side.
Speaking about his time at Palace and about his future plans, Adebayor said:
I’ve had six beautiful months with Palace. Pape Souare, Yohan Cabaye, Macca [James McArthur] and Jedi [Mile Jedinak] have all talked to me a lot. I’d love to have played more, but that’s football. The journey will stop in May – but that’s not the end of my journey. It is just a stop. It will continue, wherever I go to.
There is a chance that Adebayor will see the field at some stage during the FA Cup final with Manchester United, but it’s unlikely that he will start the game.
