Following Newcastle United’s relegation to the Championship, Tom Hopkinson of The Mirror writes that Crystal Palace are set to keep former Tottenham winger Andros Townsend in the Premier League.
The Eagles look set to offer Newcastle £8million for the Winger, who will be keen to return to the top flight of English football – and possibly London too.

The winger, who failed to secure a place in Roy Hodgson’s England side for the Euro’s in France this summer after being included in the provisional 26-man squad, apparently has an £8million release clause that Palace are willing to meet.
Townsend cost Newcastle £12m last January and following Rafael Benitez’s arrival to the Toon, the 24-year-old really started to impress again and had several good games before the season came to an end.
Alan Pardew will be keen to add more goals to his team and Andros Townsend certainly has the ability to find the back of the net, both from open play and from set-pieces.
