The Daily Mail has reported that Newcastle United are lining up a £10m move for Palace striker Dwight Gayle.
The North East side has joined a long list of Championship clubs including Aston Villa who are interested in bringing the player who has scored 7 goals in 20 appearances for the Eagles last season.
Gayle signed a new 4-year-contract at Selhurst Park in April but has failed to break into the first team this season. The 25-year-old joined the side in 2013 from Peterborough and played well in the Championship with the Posh.
Whilst this bookie thinks it’s likely, reports don’t give off the same confidence.
The Daily Mail believes that the Magpies will be interested because age is on his side:
Newcastle manager Rafa Benitez has been frustrated so far in his efforts to find value for money in the transfer market.

If Gayle leaves the club, it will add to Chamakh and Adebayor on the list of forwards that are leaving this summer.
