Following the end of the 2015/16 season, a season which proved to have its many ups and downs, Alfonso Greenbrook looks back at the campaign in his latest collections of Podcasts from The CPFC Podcast.
It was a season of two halves for Palace as they started very well (with the 5-1 win against Newcastle probably the best performance of the season) but due to injuries, Palace soon found themselves falling down the league and into a relegation fight.
However, the Eagles were confirmed safe with one game to go (confirming their fourth consecutive season in the league for the first time in the club’s history).
It wasn’t all doom and gloom as the end of the season saw the end of Palace’s fantastic run in the F.A Cup, a run which had over-shadowed their league form over the second half of the season.
It wouldn’t be Palace’s year as they lost in the final against Manchester United after some controversial decisions, a brilliant goal by Jason Puncheon and two late goals from Mata and Lingard.
This season had its ups and downs! From the F.A Cup run to the league romp. So it;s now up to you.. Was the 2015/16 season a success?
