According to The Express and Star, Crystal Palace are ready to make a club record £20million bid for West Brom striker Saido Berahino.
West Brom value Berahino at £20million and would be willing to accept the offer, however, The Baggies will not sanction the move until they are able to bring in their own replacement.
West Ham striker Diafra Sakho has been heavily linked with a move to the Hawthorns, so Palace may have to wait for that deal to go through before being able to finalise a move for Berahino.
The forward would become Palace’s record signing at £20million and would leave West Brom after rejecting a new four-year deal. He currently has just one year left on his contract and is eager to leave.
The 22-year-old already has 23 Premier League goals to his name in 96 appearances, which is what has attracted Palace to him.
They are in the market for a goalscorer and that’s what Berahino is.
