Crystal Palace midfielder Mile Jedinak celebrates his 32nd birthday today and after five years at the club we look back at his career so far in South London.
In August 2011, Jedinak joined from Turkish side Genclerbirligi for an undisclosed fee and was a signing made by former Palace player and manager Dougie Freedman.
He made 35 appearances for the Eagles in his first season at the club; he featured in several of the clubs’ matches in their League Cup run in 2011/12 and was on the bench at the unforgettable night at Old Trafford, where Darren Ambrose scored an amazing goal.
The Australia international was made the captain of the team in 2012/13 and lead the club into the play-off final where they saw of Watford at Wembley to claim their place in the Premier League.
In the past few years since Palace’s return to the Premier League, Jedinak has been a key player in the dressing room and has rallied the team up for important matches.
He was stripped of captaincy this week and replaced by Scott Dann ahead of the new Premier League season where the Eagles aim to push further up the table.
Here are a few images from Jedinak’s last five years at the club:
