Crystal Palace are about to be told how long English striker Fraizer Campbell will be sidelined for, with the possibility of up to a month as they look to asses the severity of the injury.
Assistant manager Keith Millen has been very ambiguous over the strikers injury that he picked up in a friendly against AFC Wimbledon around 14 days ago. Finally the club are going to address how long he will be out for after not knowing the full extent of the injury.
The former Tottenham man can be great on his day, but failed to hit the expectations of others throughout his career, with the departure of Dwight Gayle to Newcastle this could be his year where he proves costly to The Eagles. As the club are in the market for two new strikers, with one of them being Liverpool misfit Christian Benteke as he looks to revive his career.
Millen spoke of the injury and said “I think they waited a while for it to go down before they scanned it.” Then added, “I have not heard the results yet, but Fraizer is certainly not around the training ground at the moment.”
And finally states, “We’ll probably know more about it this week.”
With Palaces opening game of the season against a well ran West Brom side, Alan Pardew will want as strong as a squad as possible leading up to this game, as he looks to bring in a striker at Selhurst Park.
