Crystal Palace have missed out on the loan signing of Watford’s Odion Ighalo who has joined Chinese side Changchun Yatai for a fee of £17.1m, despite his reluctance to leave England for China.
The 27-year-old has been struggling for form this season and had seen himself playing less than the previous season, in which he was in superb form, scoring 17 goals.
This season the forward has only scored twice in 20 appearances, with his last goal coming against West Ham in September, show the decline of his form from the last campaign.

It was reported this morning that Ighalo was a loan target for Crystal Palace, with the Daily Mail also claiming that West Bromwich Albion were interested in a late move for the Nigerian.
