A nightclub next to Selhurst Park is set to close in May and to re-locate, it has been announced, due to the redevelopment of Crystal Palace’s stadium, according to the owners of Crystals.
In a post on Facebook, Crystals Nightclub made the announcement, an announcement that comes after more than 20-years of clubbing nights at the South London venue.
“Huge news. Crystals are on the move. After over 20 years at Selhurst Park, Crystals must leave to make way for the redevelopment of CPFC,” the post read.
“The last night at Crystals nightclub will be on Saturday, May 13.”

The nightclub hosted events for over 21s on Friday nights and Crystals Saturday nights for over 25s, it has been a popular and successful venue for many years.
The post continued by saying: “The legendary Crystals Saturday nights are moving to our sister club, Valbon at New Cross, and will pick up where we leave off at Selhurst Park with great customers, great staff, great music, [a] great atmosphere but even bigger, better, sound and light.
“Make sure you book early – we’re going to be packed for the last night of Crystals at Selhurst and the exciting opening night of a great Crystals at Valbon.
“It’s going to be a night of fond farewells and heavy partying at our old home on May 13 and a glorious beginning in our new home at Valbon on May 20.”
It is at the moment unclear about what extent the area belonging to Crystals Nightclub will be used for, with no planning permission currently submitted to Croydon Council in the public planning applications register.
