Ronald de Boer has shed some light on the discussions between his brother Frank and Crystal Palace, the BBC have reported.
The Dutchman discussed his brother’s impending move to become the Palace boss and reassured Eagles fans that only ‘little things’ are yet to be agreed between both parties in negotiations.
As it stands now, I know that both sides want to go with each other but there are just little things to discuss.
Frank de Boer has emerged as Palace’s prime candidate to take charge of the club and it’s looking as though he’ll be announced in the near future.
Palace are believed to have interviewed both De Boer and Mauricio Pellegrino over the vacant managerial post, but the latter has tonight been confirmed as the new Southampton boss, leaving a clear pathway for the former Ajax and Inter Milan boss to take the reins at Selhurst Park.
It’s always been one of his desires to come to the Premier League. It’s the biggest league in the world – not necessarily the best – but the most exciting for sure. Frank wants to be part of that and hopefully he gets that opportunity with Crystal Palace.
De Boer’s ambition to manage in the Premier League looks set to finally be realised, and he will be keen to help Palace achieve a successful season if he is appointed.
