Crystal Palace are being linked with an audacious swoop to sign Greogry van der Wiel.
According to a report from the Mirror today, the Dutchman is one of many targets for Frank de Boer this summer, and has emerged as a genuine target for the Eagles.
Van der Wiel has been playing at the top level for some time now and is an established Netherlands international. However, since departing PSG last summer, his career has taken a turn for the worse.
His time at Fenerbahce has been a huge failure, and he is keen to seek an escape route this summer. The 29-year-old has never played in the Premier League, and could be attracted by the prospect of English football under his compatriot.
Palace already have Joel Ward in place at right-back but judging by recent links with Kenny Tete among other defenders, it looks as though De Boer is keen to bolster the right side of his back-line.
