Benfica striker Raul Jimenez has been heavily linked with a move to the Premier League this summer, and Crystal Palace are the latest name to be touted with interest in his signature.
According to a report from the printed edition of Portuguese news outlet Correio da Manhã, as cited by Sport Witness today, Palace are a potential destination for the Mexican international, who is looking poised to depart Portugal in the near future.
It’s been widely reported in recent times that Benfica are keen to make €40m at the very least from their sale of Jimenez, with them looking to offload him this summer.
However, it’s unlikely that they will receive this kind of sum from a Premier League club, and it’s definitely not looking to come from Palace.
Clubs such as West Ham and Everton have also been linked with moves for Jimenez, but it looks as though the desire for a move to be secured this summer is coming more from the player’s camp, than the potential suitors’.
