Palace make €6m offer for Zoet
Crystal Palace have made a €6m offer for PSV goalkeeper Jeroen Zoet, according to O Jogo, via Sport Witness.
The report claims that Palace are very keen on signing Zoet and have tabled their offer, with PSV yet to respond.
Portuguese side Benfica and another English club are also interested in the shot-stopper and could be set to rival Palace.
Benfica are ready to switch their attentions to Zoet after they failed in an attempt to sign Lukas Hradecky from Eintracht Frankfurt.
They were unable to meet his €2m wage demands, with the report claiming that Palace do have a financial edge over Benfica.
It was reported earlier this week that PSV wanted at least €5m for Zoet, making Palace’s offer seem a reasonable one but time will tell whether or not it will be enough.
Palace have been linked with a move for Zoet this summer as they look to strengthen their goalkeeping options.
Steve Mandanda signed for Marseille last month, leaving Wayne Hennessey with no real competition for his place.
Zoet played 37 games in all competitions last season, impressing scouts at Crystal Palace.
The 26-year-old has played 219 games for the Dutch side since graduating from the youth side in 2011.
