Liverpool ready to accept cut-price deal for Sakho

Liverpool are reportedly ready to allow Mamadou Sakho to join Crystal Palace in a deal that is largely made up of incentives and add-ons, as per Melissa Reddy of Goal.

Crystal Palace are still keen on signing the Frenchman and the Eagles are also said to be Sakho’s preferred destination as he enjoyed his loan spell there at the end of last season.

In fact, the player has reportedly agreed terms on a move to Selhurst Park and is just waiting for a fee to be agreed between the two sides.

Frank de Boer admitted last week that Liverpool’s asking price was simply too much for Palace and as such, the Eagles were looking at other targets.

However, according to Melissa, Liverpool are now willing to accept a smaller fee for the defender and include add-ons which could take the price up towards the original value they set at the start of the summer.

Despite Liverpool’s lack of success bringing in new recruits, manager Jurgen Klopp seemingly has no plan to reintegrate Sakho into the squad and a sale now looks very, very likely.
