Crystal Palace goalkeeper Wayne Hennessey is the subject of interest from Newcastle.
According to The Daily Star, Newcastle are interested in making a move for Hennessey.
Rafa Benitez is looking to strengthen his goalkeeping options, with Rob Elliot currently his first-choice goalkeeper.
Palace are closing in on the signing of Michael Vorm from Tottenham, which would allow Newcastle to swoop in and sign Hennessey.

Newcastle have three points after their first three games of the Premier League season, following their 3-0 win over West Ham last weekend.
Hennessey won his place in the Palace side back off Steve Mandanda last season and helped the club to secure their status in the top-flight for another season.
The transfer window closes at 11pm tomorrow night and Newcastle are still expected to do a lot of business before the window closes, with Hennessey possibly being one of many in the door.
He is currently on international duty with Wales.
