Crystal Palace appear to have been running the rule over Besiktas striker Cenk Tosun yet again.
The Eagles’ interest in the Turkey international has been well documented for some time now. A move was made to sign Tosun in the summer transfer window, but Palace were beaten by the clock in their pursuit of the forward.
However, this doesn’t appear to have deterred the club, who are continuing to track Tosun’s progress.
According to the Croydon Advertiser, the Eagles had representatives in attendance for Turkey’s recent clash against Iceland on Friday evening, with Tosun the specific person of interest.
It was a bad night for the Besiktas man, and for the Turkish national team as a whole. They slumped to a 3-0 victory at the hands of Iceland, and Tosun failed to influence proceedings.
Palace were not alone in their scouting of Tosun, though. The report states that Newcastle United and Tottenham Hotspur were believed to have been tracking him.
