Connor Wickham says that he will be ready for the first team in two months having stepped up his recovery from a knee injury sustained in November 2016.
Wickham has missed 41 games for Palace leaving a huge amount of pressure on Christian Benteke to rack up the goals both last season and this season.

Wickham told the official website:
Generallly my rehab is going well; there have been a couple of hiccups along the way although it was quite an injury as I had ruptured a couple of ligaments and suffered cartilage damage so it’s not been easy. I am sure it has made me a lot stronger whilst feeling every single emotion you can whilst being out injured but it is coming to an end now.
With Crystal Palace struggling at the foot of the table, they would like to have the services of Wickham as soon as possible, although they will want to be very careful with him as rushing him back too soon could easily lead to a setback, and that’s the last thing that both the player and the club will want.
