It was announced on Monday night that Crystal Palace will take on rivals Brighton and Hove Albion in the third round of the FA Cup next month.

Palace only recently took the trip to the Amex Stadium, coming away with a point in a 0-0 draw in the Premier League clash. They will make the short journey to Brighton once again next month as they pursue success in the FA Cup.

However, according to the Evening Standard, there is a lot of uncertainty regarding how many fans Palace will be able to take to Brighton as they look to work within the guidelines of the FA Cup.

These regulations insist that the home club, Brighton in this case, allocate 15% of their stadium’s capacity to away supporters for the game. This would be in excess of 4,000 for Palace.

This has led to fears of crowd trouble ahead of the contest, and Brighton are stated to be planning talks with the Sussex police to decide how many tickets are indeed allocated to Palace.
