Crystal Palace are set to complete the loan signing of Benfica midfielder Erdal Rakip.
The Daily Mail reports that the player has undergone a medical at Palace over the weekend with a deal to be announced shortly.
Rakip only joined Benfica earlier this month when his contract at Swedish side Malmo expired.
The 21-year-old can play as a central midfielder or on the right. He had scored eight in 27 appearances for Malmo in the Allsvenskan earlier this season.
Current Palace boss Roy Hodgson is looking to bolster his squad to pull the Eagles away from the relegation zone.
Hodgson has done his research on Rakip and has been in touch with his former side Malmo regarding the player.
The Palace boss is hoping for a busy month with a deal to sign Polish defender Jaroslaw Jach also expected to be completed.
After a defeat to Arsenal on Saturday, Palace currently sit 13th in the Premier League, four points above the drop zone.
