Charlton manager Karl Robinson is still working towards bringing in Crystal Palace winger Sullay Kaikai but is not fully confident the deal will get done in time, as reported by London News Online.
The deal for the player would be an initial loan, with Kaikai having had limited opportunities for Palace in the first team this season.
The 22-year-old has been out on five separate loans since his arrival at Selhurst Park in 2010, when he joined the club when he was just 15.

The deal looked as though it would have been completed last week, as the player was at the League One club’s training ground to finish the move off.
However, the move then stalled after the player missed the 12:00PM deadline in order to play in the match at Walsall last weekend.
The Charlton manager spoke about the prospect of bringing the player in this month.
We’re still working on it. We know Crystal Palace are waiting to bring in players and we know the player wants to come. It’s just waiting for an answer off Crystal Palace.
Asked about the likelihood of a deal happening before the transfer deadline next week, Robinson said:
You’re better phoning up Crystal Palace and asking them the likelihood.
