Crystal Palace manager Roy Hodgson has said that the club are still trying to complete deals for Getafe goalkeeper Vicente Guaita and Lille’s Ibrahim Amadou, as per Sky Sports.
The London club have been following Guaita very closely and it’s been reported that the player has already completed his medical, contrary to the belief of Getafe boss Jose Bordalas.
It’s a different story for Amadou, though, as Palace have had three separate bids rejected for the player and are still looking to recruit the versatile, defensively-minded player in the latter stages of the month.
Palace are keen to complete both deals for the players as they aim to retain their Premier League status by building their squad up with the additions from clubs around Europe.

A goalkeeper would be a welcome addition for the club as they haven’t been able to settle on a shot stopper this season. This signing would allow for them to be able to do this.
Hodgson spoke about the situation with Guaita.
He is a player of course that we like and a player that we are still pursuing and it would be nice if he can come in the January transfer window.
On Amadou, Hodgson added:
It is another name that has been mentioned, a name that we have talked about.
But once again it is a deal, or a decision, or a situation that is being dealt with really at the level of the chairman and sporting director, and I am just waiting to see if anything transpires.
