Ladapo joined Crystal Palace from Margate in 2015 and has gone out on loan to Oldham and Shrewsbury since joining the South London side.
The 24-year-old, who turns 25 tomorrow, has only made one appearance for Palace in the Premier League when he came on with 15 minutes to go in The Eagles’ 4-0 loss to Manchester United.
He made a combined amount of 37 appearances when on loan at Oxford (22), where he grabbed three goals and three assists and at Shrewsbury (15), scoring four and assisting once in the process.
The striker, who can also play on the left wing, is eligible to play for either England or Nigeria internationally, so he’ll hope to perform well at Southend to put himself in contention for either squad.
