Martin Polacek move is off

Crystal Palace’s attempts to sign Martin Polacek, a Polish goalkeeper, is off after the player was expected to sign today but the deal will now not go through, according to BBC Sport.

Palace were really keen on bringing the player to the club to help sort out their goalkeeping trouble, which they have had all season but it now appears that the move has fallen through.

The 27-year-old goalkeeper was interested in a move to Palace after his club Zaglebie Lubin agreed to let him go but the deal has fallen through at the final stages.

He has featured 21 times this season and played an important role for his side ever since his arrival in 2015 making 77 appearances in the process.

Palace must now try to find some alternatives in the short time they have now that the window has under 11 hours left to run before it shuts.
