Crystal Palace have been boosted by the news that winger Wilfried Zaha is currently ahead of schedule in his recovery from a knee injury whilst Mamadou Sakho has suffered a setback in his injury, as reported by the London Evening Standard.
Both players have been really important for the club this season and the pair both picked up injuries at a bad time as they look to avoid dropping down to the Championship.
Zaha was thought to be out of action for at least a month but it’s been revealed that the player is ahead of where they thought he would be at this stage.

Palace have currently got 12 players sidelined with various injuries but Hodgson is pleased with how the 25-year-old’s recovery is going at the moment.
He is doing very well and is way ahead of schedule. His attitude and desire to get back on the field is quite outstanding, I don’t think I have come across anyone any better in my career than him in that respect.
He’s much further forward than we thought he would be but that still means we are looking at several weeks ahead before we can really count on him I think.

The Palace boss then spoke about the situation of Sakho.
Mama’s still feeling this calf injury, so we’ll have to wait and see. We have to wait for him to let us know he’s ready.
Despite having improved a lot since the start of the season the Eagles still remain in serious trouble in the league with just 27 points and placed in 15th place currently just one point above the drop zone.
