Roy Hodgson is reluctant to predict a return date for star Palace winger Wilfried Zaha, according to the London Evening Standard.
The Ivorian international has been out for a month as Palace struggle in the league. With Relegation becoming a real possibility, manager Roy Hodgson has confirmed it’ll still be some time before Zaha returns, but he is not sure when that will be.
The former England and West Brom manager said: “He is ahead of schedule. The medical staff are quite surprised at how quickly he has recovered from a serious injury, but it is still a while away before we can be certain that he is going to return earlier than planned.
“At the moment his running is pretty much in straight lines and we have not tested out those difficult things that need testing out for knee ligament injuries like twisting and turning, and contact with other players.”
Palace sit just above the relegation zone in 17th place, only outside on goal difference.
