Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho has hit back at former Crystal Palace boss Frank de Boer for comments he made regarding Marcus Rashford.

Speaking ahead of this week’s game against Sevilla, Mourinho acknowledged comments made by the Dutchman over the weekend.

The former Inter and Palace boss claimed that it is a ‘pity’ that Rashford is managed by Mourinho, claiming his tactics do not get the best out of the youngster.

It’s fair to say that the United boss did not react very well to the comments and made his feelings towards de Boer very clear.

I read something, some quote from the worst manager in the history of the Premier League, Frank de Boer saying it’s not good for Rashford to have a coach like me. If he was coached by Frank he would be coached how to lose because he lost every game.

The Dutchman was sacked by Crystal Palace back in September after just five games in charge of the Eagles.

De Boer had managed just one victory during his brief stint in England, which came against Ipswich in the EFL Cup.

Former England boss Roy Hodgson was brought into the club as de Boer’s successor.
