Crystal Palace player ratings: Brighton (H)

Crystal Palace took a big step towards Premier League survival with a win over rivals Brighton at Selhurst Park, putting the Eagles six points clear of the drop.

Wilfried Zaha opened the scoring for Palace after only five minutes, tapping in a goal off the rebound.

Palace then added a second not long after with James Tomkins rolling it into the net to add to Palace’s lead. Then, just a few minutes later, Glenn Murray would add a goal for Brighton, scoring via the crossbar.

Zaha would then add a third for Palace, heading in his second of the game to restore the Eagles’ two goal cushion.

Brighton would then score again, with Jose Izquierdo calmly finishing to make it 3-2.

Brighton would try to net an equaliser in the second half, but Palace would hold on to take 3 vital points.
