City keeping tabs on Palace’s Zaha
Premier League champions-elect Manchester City are keeping tabs on the performances of Wilfried Zaha.
The Daily Mail claims that City are interested in the attacker, but may be put off by Palace’s high asking price.
Pep Guardiola’s men are in the market for homegrown players over the summer and Zaha would fit the bill.
Guardiola wants City to target quality, rather than quantity this summer in a bid to strengthen while they’re on top, something that Premier League winning sides have failed to do so often in the past.
City will continue to assess the player between now and the summer after concerns about how he would manage at a big club after failing to make the grade at Manchester United.
After impressing at Palace, Zaha earned a move to Manchester United when David Moyes was in charge.
However, he was unable to step up at Old Trafford and was quickly moved on and eventually returned to Palace.
