Having been behind through a deflected Xherdan Shaqiri’s free-kick, Palace equalised midway through the second half after James McArthur finished off a swift counter-attack. Patrick van Aanholt then scored the winner, secured his team’s Premier League safety and extending the unbeaten run to five games.
