Crystal Palace have reportedly expressed an interest in signing Alphonse Areola from PSG this summer.
The Eagles are understood to be on the lookout for a new goalkeeper ahead of next season and Areola is the latest name to have been linked with a move to Selhurst Park.
An agreement is in place for Vicente Guaita to join Palace on a free transfer this summer as his contract with Getafe comes to an end. However, if recent reports are to be believed, a move to Atletico Madrid is a prospect which has tempted the Spaniard.
According to France Football, both Palace and Newcastle want to sign Areola, with the Premier League duo aiming to bolster their respective arsenal of goalkeeping options.
Areola is, as per the report, understood to own a house in London, inferring that a move to Palace could be an attractive proposition for the 25-year-old, with his wife claimed to “love” the city.
PSG are on the lookout for a new goalkeeper to lead them into next season but this does not mean that they will allow Areola to leave the club cheaply. France Football claim that €20m would be required to prise him away from the Ligue 1 champions.
