Christian Benteke has been included in Belgium’s 28-man provisional squad for the World Cup.
The Crystal Palace striker has had a disappointing season but was a surprise name on the list as one of three strikers.

The 27-year-old only scored three goals this season, but Roberto Martinez picked him ahead of Liverpool’s Divock Origi.
Benteke had said it would hurt to not be picked for the squad but admitted his form could cost him.
That hasn’t proven to be the case as he was named alongside Romelu Lukaku and Michy Batshuayi in the side.

He should remain in the side that is trimmed to 23 following a friendly with Portugal on June 2.
Chelsea and Tottenham each have three players in the side, while Manchester United and City both have two.
Roma’s Radja Nainggolan was surprisingly left out. Issues between him and Martinez appear to have scuppered his chances despite the manager insisting it was a tactical decision. He has since retired from international football.
