Tottenham are finally ready to give up on signing Crystal Palace star man Wilfried Zaha, after the winger’s price tag was revealed, according to MailOnline.

Spurs have often been linked with a move for the Ivory Coast international, and rumour had suggested that the club were targeting a big money move for the former Manchester United man as they transition into their new stadium.

However, the Eagles are remaining firm on their inflated price tag, and will not sell for any less than £70million, a price tag which is putting the North London side off.

There is also concerns over Zaha’s wage demands, which would disrupt the current wage structure in place at the club. Given his current wage of £110,000-a-week at Palace, he would expect similar if not more at Tottenham. Therefore, Tottenham will begin to explore alternative options, such as Manchester United wide-man Anthony Martial.

Zaha only signed a new long-term deal last year, but Palace are looking to once again offer him an improved deal, after his form helped them fight back from a record-poor start to the season.

With plans to develop Selhurst Park in the pipeline, Palace will be targeting retaining their Premier League status as their top priority, and they will want Zaha to remain in order to do so.
