Crystal Palace set to sign Ozan Tufan
Crystal Palace officials are to head out to Turkey this week to finalise a deal for Fenerbahce star Ozan Tufan, HITC reports.
Roy Hodgson’s side finished 11th in the Premier League last season but the former England manager is keen to strengthen his side this summer in order to push for a top 10 finish next season.
Turkish media outlet Fanatik are reporting that Palace have already submitted a £2.5 million bid for the 23-year-old.
The versatile Tufan predominately occupies the defensive midfield role but he is also more than capable of playing further forward in central midfield or of filling the right-back role.
£2.5million would be considered an excellent piece of business for the youngster, with the Eagles set to finalise the deal later this week when officials of the two clubs meet in Istanbul.
Despite being just 23-years-old, Tufan already has 39 caps for Turkey to his name.
