Crystal Palace put in a battling performance but came away from their home game against Liverpool with nothing after a 2-0 defeat thanks to goals late on at the end of each half.
The opening goal comes with a hint of controversy as Roy Hodgson thinks the penalty awarded against his side was harsh when Mamadou Sakho was adjudged to have fouled Mohamed Salah.
That came after Andros Townsend hit the bar with an excellent long-range strike.
Aaron Wan-Bissaka was sent off with around 15 minutes to go four hauling down Salah when he was through on goal.
Palace had their chances to get an equaliser but couldn’t capitalise and in the end, Liverpool broke on the counter-attack and Sadio Mane put the game beyond doubt.
