In this week’s e-Crystal Palace Podcast, I review the game against Watford by giving you my match review, player rankings as well as my Man of the Match.
Palace suffered back-to-back defeats for the first time since March. Despite a good performance in a feisty first half, Roy Hodgson’s side fell behind after the break, following a Roberto Pereyra curler, as the Hornets were quick out of the traps. This was closely followed up with a Jose Holebas cross-shot, which found the far top corner. Wilfried Zaha became the club’s all-time top Premier League scorer after he netted in the 70th minute, however this wasn’t enough to get the Eagles back into the game.
Should it have been a straight red card? Should Joel Ward have done better with his last-minute chance? Where will Max Meyer fit into the Palace system? Should Benteke be dropped?
