Hodgson unconcerned by Wan-Bissaka exit talk

Crystal Palace manager Roy Hodgson is unconcerned over reports linking Aaron Wan-Bissaka with a move to Manchester City.

The Eagles manager discussed the young right-back’s future at Selhurst Park during his pre-match press conference ahead of Palace’s encounter with Tottenham Hotspur.

As quoted by Football London, Hodgson was quick to insist that he has no concerns over the prospect of Wan-Bissaka departing South London. The former England boss said:

I always wonder when I hear or see those reports what Kyle Walker and Danilo are thinking. It is very easy to link anybody with anybody. I have no idea if there is any truth in it – you would have to ask Pep Guardiola but I doubt he would give you an answer.

As far as we are concerned we have him as our player and he is under contract with us and we have no desire or intention of selling him, so it is not anything that occupies my waking moments, or sleeping moments either for that matter.

Wan-Bissaka has established himself as a key part of Hodgson’s plans for the season ahead and has caught the eyes of many with some cultured displays for Palace.

In recent times, City have been linked with a swoop for the player, who is currently contracted to Palace until the summer of 2022 following his recent extension at the club.

Nevertheless, Hodgson does not appear to be fazed by the reports linking Wan-Bissaka with a move away, as the youngster continues to impress.
