Wan-Bissaka closing in on senior England call

Crystal Palace defender Aaron Wan-Bissaka is reportedly be closing in on a senior call-up to the England squad.

The Daily Mail reports that the Palace man is one of several promising young players set to be named in the squad over the coming months.

Gareth Southgate has been keen to bring through the next generation and the report outlines his plan to do just that.

Reiss Nelson, Ryan Sessegnon, Mason Mount, Morgan Gibbs-White and Phil Foden are all believed to be on Southgate’s radar as he looks to continue evolving the squad.

Wan-Bissaka has established himself as a regular for Crystal Palace in the Premier League and is now regarded as one of the most promising young defenders in the division.

The 20-year-old has featured for England at U20 and U21 level but looks set to challenge the likes of Kyle Walker for a starting spot at right-back in preparation for Euro 2020.
