Everton have joined Crystal Palace in the race to sign Inter Milan centre forward Gabriel Barbosa.

According to Tutto Mercato Web, Everton are keen to sign Gabriel and have made an approach to Inter as they look to secure a January deal.

Palace are thought to be in talks over a loan deal for Gabriel, with Everton now providing stern competition for his signature.

Gabriel joined Inter for €30m in 2016 but failed to make an impact in Italy and has been loaned out to Santos in Brazil, where he has been on fire.

The forward has 29 goals this season for Santos, with Palace in desperate need of a clinical goalscorer upfront.

The 22-year-old has been capped four times by Brazil at international level, scoring twice for his country. Gabriel has scored 87 career goals so far in his career.

Palace are also said to be interested in Bayern Munich forward Sandro Wagner.
