Parish insists Zaha will stay at Palace
Crystal Palace chairman Steve Parish has insisted that Wilfried Zaha is not interested in moving away from the club, according to a report on the Mirror.
The forward is currently being monitored by a number of clubs and the Ivory Coast winger was offered a £44m deal to sign for Chinese club Dalian Yifang.
Zaha is one of Palace’s most important players and could be key in helping the club avoid relegation from the Premier League this season.
There have been fears that Zaha could be tempted to leave in the January transfer window, but Parish has put those rumours to bed. He said:
We have got a long history with Wilf. He loves the club and we love him. But of course, people want to do well in their career over time. Right now, I know he is 1,000% committed to Crystal Palace Football Club.
He doesn’t think about anything else. He is not interested in going to China. He wants to help us get up the table. That is all he is focused on right now.
Zaha is widely considered as the best player outside of the top six teams but he has struggled to find goals in recent weeks.
