Roy Hodgson has confirmed that he expects goalkeeper Lucas Perri to be Crystal Palace’s only signing this month.
However, the former England manager did also admit that he would like to bring a midfielder and a striker to Selhurst Park.
The London club are close to finalising a deal to sign Sao Paulo ‘keeper Perri on loan until the end of the season, with an option to buy, with the Eagles currently experiencing an injury crisis among their shot-stopper department.

First-choice Vicente Guaita was substituted minutes before half-time against Watford last weekend after sustaining an injury, while his replacement Wayne Hennessey picked up an injury in training this week.
That will leave club stalwart and third-choice Julian Speroni to deputise against Liverpool on Saturday.
Beyond the signing of the 21-year old Brazilian, Hodgson expects the club to wait until the summer to spend serious money, with the January window notoriously difficult to navigate. Talking ahead of the match-up at Anfield tomorrow, Hodgson said:
We have two more weeks like everybody else; the work will continue if there are more possibilities that suit us, so nothing changes in that respect.
But to say I’m expecting it, I’d have to have a definite name in the frame who is on the verge of signing and that’s not the case.
We’d like to add a midfielder and striker ideally… on loan deals only, not to buy.
