Crystal Palace are known to be interested in River Plate striker Rafael Santos Borre, but it seems as though they aren’t the only outfit to be keen on the 23-year-old.
The diminutive forward has been at the Buenos Aires club since 2017, but it is rumoured that he will be on the move come the summer transfer window.
The South Londoners had been touted as the original destination, but a report from Futbol Red (translated by Sport Witness) seems to suggest that a pair of Mexican clubs have entered the race for Borre’s services.

Both Monterrey and Tigres have been linked to the former Atletico Madrid man, who spent time on loan at Villarreal during his Spanish stint.
Starting out his career at Deportivo Cali, Borre has experienced a successful spell in Argentina, and was a key part of the side that won the Copa Libertadores in somewhat controversial fashion in November.
The Eagles may yet triumph in their quest to add the 23-year-old to their ranks, but one thing is for sure – it won’t be easy!
