Ahead of the upcoming summer transfer window, we’ve taken a look at the players who could be on their way out of Crystal Palace in the coming months.
Whether the players will be departing for a bigger club with potentially more success or moving to ensure a consistent place in the starting line-up, we will be giving our opinions on whether the players have a future at the club or whether it will be better for their careers to make a move.
Of course, all Palace fans will be wanting to see the likes of Wilfried Zaha and Aaron Wan-Bissaka stay at the club, but their respective futures are still under scrutiny.
The Eagles are unlikely to secure a top-half finish, they have been knocked out of the FA Cup, and departures could be on the cards this summer.
So, take a look as we assess who could be heading out of Selhurst Park in the upcoming transfer window.
Wilfried Zaha
Starting off with the obvious player, Wilfried Zaha. There has been a lot of speculation around the 26-year-old and whether or not he will continue to stick around as Palace fail to breach the race for seventh place in the Premier League. Will he leave? The Eagles will certainly hope not.
Jason Puncheon
Jason Puncheon is currently out on loan at Huddersfield Town. He was struggling to secure game time and was simply a benchwarmer who would get five minutes every so often at Palace.
However, he has shown that he is looking for regular game time by moving out to Huddersfield in January, and a permanent move could be eyed in the summer.
Mamadou Sakho
Mamadou Sakho is a great defender but is perennially touted with a possible return to Ligue 1.
Sakho is certainly not struggling for game time as he and James Tomkins are the first-choice centre-backs for Crystal Palace.
However, as injury issues continue to linger, one would question whether or not a move away from Selhurst Park would be beneficial for him.
Jairo Riedewald
Jairo Riedewald has definitely not been included in Roy Hodgson’s plans this season; it’s rare to see him even on the bench.
The only thing that’s on his side is youth, as he is only 22-years-old.
Does he have a future at Selhurst Park? It’s certainly looking unlikely under the management of Hodgson.
Aaron Wan-Bissaka
The young right-back will be on the radar of prestigious clubs.
Since bursting onto the senior footballing scene, he’s hardly put a foot wrong. Crystal Palace will have to do something special to persuade Aaron Wan-Bissaka to stay.
Alexander Sorloth
The Norwegian striker is currently on loan at Gent and is playing well. The Belgian club could be looking to try and secure Sorloth’s services on a permanent basis, and a departure wouldn’t come as a surprise.
