Crystal Palace enter race for Saint-Maximin

Crystal Palace are among a number of Premier League sides who look set to battle it out this summer for OCG Nice winger Allan Saint-Maximin.

According to Get French Football News, Palace will face competition from Everton and Newcastle in their pursuit of the highly sought after 22-year-old this summer, while Liverpool have also been linked with the forward. 

Saint-Maximin has attracted interest from a number of sides after impressing for Nice this season, with six goals and three assists in his 34 Ligue 1 appearances for the French side. 

Roy Hodgson is reportedly looking to strengthen his attacking options amid speculation that Wilfried Zaha will leave the club this summer, and Saint-Maximin could be a potential replacement for the Ivorian.

The winger came through the ranks at St Etienne and joined Ligue 1 giants AS Monaco in 2015, before having loan spells with Hannover and SC Bastia respectively.

Nice then signed the winger for a fee in the region of €10million in 2017, and the French Under-21 international has made 73 appearances in all competitions for the Ligue 1 outfit.
