Arsenal’s hopes of signing Wilfried Zaha from Crystal Palace took a blow on Wednesday night as they were defeated in the Europa League final, according to The Mirror.
The Gunners were understood to have been in the race to sign the Ivory Coast international, but their chances of completing a deal are now seemingly slim.
Unai Emery’s side had the opportunity to make up for their failure to finish in the top four of the Premier League by qualifying for next season’s Champions League via the final of the Europa League.

However, they were comprehensively defeated by Chelsea, as the Blues romped to a 4-1 win over their London rivals in Baku.
Crystal Palace are stated to be demanding £80 million for their talisman Zaha, and Arsenal may now need to accept that they will be unable to tempt him away from Selhurst Park.
The 26-year-old is keen to play Champions League football next season – something that the Gunners cannot provide – and their funds are reportedly limited this summer, meaning he is unaffordable.
