After a stunning season in the Championship with Nottingham Forest, star man Joe Lolley could be on his way to the English top flight, with Aston Villa and Crystal Palace leading the race to sign the player, reports Birmingham Live.
Villa were reportedly lining up a £10 million bid for the player, but Forest want closer to their £15 million valuation and are refusing to sell for anything less, as things stand.
The player, however, could favour a move to Aston Villa having supported them as a youngster.
When previously discussing the links to Villa, Lolley is quoted saying:
I’ve followed the club all my life and I used to sit on the Holte End.
This won’t stop Palace pursuing a deal for the man that scored 11 goals and added 11 assists in the English second tier last term, but first of all his valuation has to be met.
Lolley was signed from Huddersfield back in 2015 and at just 26, he still has a lot more to give.
