Palace told to pay £25m to sign Saint-Maximin

Following an expected summer of change at Crystal Palace, OGC Nice winger Allan Saint-Maximin could be one of the first names through the doors at Selhurst Park, according to the Daily Mail.

It is thought Saint-Maximin would work alongside star man Wilfried Zaha at the club, but with Arsenal and other top sides monitoring Palace’s prize asset, any new signing could be the man to fill the boots of the wantaway player.

Newcastle and Watford are also said to be monitoring Saint-Maximin, as the Ligue 1 side prepare for a bidding war may get underway.

Palace will have to invest a lump sum of cash to land the player however, with Nice holding out for a fee in the region of £25 million for the man they value very highly.

The forward has played for a number of clubs in France including Bastia, Monaco and St Etienne and is still just 22 years of age.

The Frenchman made 34 appearances in Ligue 1 last season, scoring six goals and providing a further three assists.
